Graphic Design Tip: Using Stock Images

Stock photography is the next-best thing when a professional photographer won't fit into your budget. Images that are 100 DPI (dots per inch) at full size is sufficient for most displays. If you have any questions or need help selecting stock photos, just let us know.
Recommended Stock Image Sites:

Shutterstock is a great choice for stock photography and vectored files. They don't have quite the selection as iStock Photo, but the prices are generally lower. A great site for designers on a budget!

iStock Photo is another good source for stock photos and vectored files. They have quality images and reasonable pricing. When selecting images for a large graphic (such as one to fill a full 10' wide display) look for images that are either marked as a vectored illustration or a minimum size of "XL."

Adobe Stock is a great, low-cost source of stock photos and vectored files, especially if you already have an Adobe account.
